“Before I Buy…” – Real Questions I Get in My Etsy Shop (and My Real Answers!)

 Let’s be honest—when you’re shopping on Etsy for something custom, you’ve probably got questions. And as someone who runs a small biz with ✨a lot✨ of product options, I get it. So today, I thought I’d round up some of the most common things I’m asked on my Rise Up Designs Etsy store and give you the real answers—no fluff, just facts (and a little sparkle). ✨

💬 “How do I take off the wrap?”

Short answer? You don’t.
UVDTF wraps are made to stay once they’re applied. They’re basically the “ride or die” of wrap options. 💪🏽

Could you peel it off if you really wanted to? Sure.
Would I recommend it? Not unless you enjoy glue residue and heartbreak. 😬

So choose the design you love—and I’ll make sure it’s applied with care before it even gets to you.

💬 “Can I put a wrap over a wrap?”

Oooo girl. I see the creativity—but this one’s a no from me. 🙅🏽‍♀️

Once a wrap is on the glass, adding another layer just creates… chaos. We’re talking bubbles, peeling, uneven texture—not the look we’re going for.

If you want a new design, grab a new cup! I offer plenty of style options in the shop, so you can mix, match, and collect your faves.

💬 “Can I put a wrap on anything?”

Love the energy—YES to thinking outside the glass! 🥤
But UVDTF wraps do have preferences. They stick best to:

• Smooth glass surfaces (like soda can-shaped tumblers)

• Hard, non-textured materials

• Clean, dry, oil-free surfaces

Things that don’t work so well:

• Silicone

• Rough plastic

• Glitter or textured cups

• Curvy or bumpy bottles

So if you’re thinking of sticking one on your Stanley dupe… maybe not. 😂

💬 “Can I put a wrap on something that’s painted?”

Technically? You can try.
But would I personally do it? Nope.

Painted surfaces can peel or bubble under a UVDTF wrap, especially if they aren’t fully sealed or smooth. The wrap might stick... but not for long. 👀

If you must try it, just know it’s at your own risk. I always recommend sticking to glass for the cleanest, longest-lasting results.
