☕ Sippin’ Sunday: One Year In

Image
On February 12, I quietly celebrated one full year on Etsy. One year of listings. One year of late-night packing sessions. One year of figuring it out as I go. One year of truly stepping into my business. And I’ve learned a lot. Not the flashy, viral-growth kind of lessons. The steady, grounded kind. The kind you only learn by doing. 1. Stay in Your Lane If you start a business, especially a creative one, everyone will have advice. “Try this.” “You should sell that.” “Have you thought about adding…?” “You’d make more money if…” And listen — most of it comes from a good place. People mean well. But here’s what I’ve learned: You don’t have to make everything. Just because something sells doesn’t mean it’s yours to sell. Just because someone else is successful doing it doesn’t mean it belongs in your shop. There were ideas I chose not to pursue — not because they weren’t good, but because they weren’t me. And that clarity matters. Your lane is powerful when you stay in i...

☕ Movin’ Monday: Catching My Breath After a Creative Whirlwind

Image
Last  week was a creative marathon — and every bit of it reminded me why I do what I do. 💛 ✨ We kicked things off with a tween craft party, which was bursting with energy, glitter, and big smiles. ✨ I popped up at a local neighborhood market and made some new connections (and even better — a few future collabs 👀). ✨ And the grand finale? A beautiful wreath-making party with 12 amazing humans — 10 ladies and 2 kids — who made my heart so full. Was it exhausting? Heck yes. Was it worth it? Every single second. There’s something special about creating a space where people can come together, relax, and make something beautiful — and I’m so grateful that this little business gives me the chance to do that over and over again. Next week will be my time to rest and recharge — because we’ve got a big holiday season ahead. But for now, I’m holding on to the joy, the laughter, and the quiet moments in between. Here’s to honoring the hustle and the stillness that follows. I’m movin...

🎯 Tuesday Truth: When Tariffs Hit the Little Guys (Like Me!)

Let’s talk about it—tariffs. 😩 I’m not here to get political, but I am here to be real: these new tariff hikes on imported goods? Yeah, they’re starting to squeeze small businesses like mine. Whether it's glass cans, bamboo lids, UV DTF wraps, or the little things like straws and packaging—it adds up . Fast. I recently had to do what I’ve been putting off: adjust my prices. Just a little, but it was tough. I know how hard people work for their money, and I don’t take any sale lightly. So if you're one of my customers, just know—this decision came with a lot of thought (and a few sighs). 👉🏼 Why the increase? Because the cost of almost everything has gone up for makers like me. And when you’re a one-woman show hand-making, packing, creating content, and running two businesses, you feel it in your bones (and your budget). 👉🏼 What doesn’t change? The heart, the care, the sparkle ✨ that goes into every order. I still include: Clear instructions with each wrap A l...
