​ This past week, I sat in church on Christmas Eve with my family. Truth be told, I don’t usually talk about my faith publicly — not because it’s not important to me, but because it’s personal. But something the priest said really stayed with me, and it felt too powerful not to share. He said something like this: “We spend so much time picking out the perfect gifts for everyone we love… but what gift are we giving to Jesus on His birthday?” Whew. That flipped something in me. I usually write these posts on Sundays, cup in hand, reflecting on life, creativity, and the rhythm of running a business I love. But this week moved differently—and that’s okay. Today is Monday. Memorial Day. And rather than rush back into the noise of the to-do list, I’m choosing to sit still a little longer. This isn’t a day for advertising or promoting. It’s a day for remembering. For honoring. For holding space for the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live in freedom. As I sip slowly this morning, I’m reminded that peace is not something we just stumble into—it’s something others have fought and died for. And while no words are ever enough, gratitude is where we can begin. To the brave souls we’ve lost, and to the families who carry their memory: we honor you. We remember you. We thank you.
