☕ Movin’ Monday: Catching My Breath After a Creative Whirlwind

Image
Last  week was a creative marathon — and every bit of it reminded me why I do what I do. ๐Ÿ’› ✨ We kicked things off with a tween craft party, which was bursting with energy, glitter, and big smiles. ✨ I popped up at a local neighborhood market and made some new connections (and even better — a few future collabs ๐Ÿ‘€). ✨ And the grand finale? A beautiful wreath-making party with 12 amazing humans — 10 ladies and 2 kids — who made my heart so full. Was it exhausting? Heck yes. Was it worth it? Every single second. There’s something special about creating a space where people can come together, relax, and make something beautiful — and I’m so grateful that this little business gives me the chance to do that over and over again. Next week will be my time to rest and recharge — because we’ve got a big holiday season ahead. But for now, I’m holding on to the joy, the laughter, and the quiet moments in between. Here’s to honoring the hustle and the stillness that follows. I’m movin...

Let’s Talk About Timing (and Why Planning Ahead is Everything)

We’re heading into that magical, chaotic stretch of the year when all the things happen at once: ๐ŸŽ“ End of the school year ✏️ Teacher Appreciation Week (first full week of May!) ๐ŸŽ‰ Graduations ๐Ÿ’ Mother’s Day ๐Ÿ‘” Father’s Day ๐Ÿ›️ Spring markets And yes… summer is peeking around the corner It’s A LOT. And if you’re a maker, seller, or even just someone who lives in a group chat, you already know: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ You’ve gotta get ahead of it. ๐Ÿ’ก What I’ve Learned (Sometimes the Hard Way): Running my Etsy shop while also working full-time has taught me that you can’t wait until the week of to start promoting seasonal gifts. People are already searching, favoriting, adding to cart—and Etsy’s algorithm? She prefers the planners. The early birds. The “I posted it three weeks ago and pinned it twice” crowd. ๐Ÿ—“️ So Let’s Break It Down: ✏️ Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6–10, 2024) Start posting: Mid-April Gift ideas: Name tumblers, cute little bundles, custom tags, gift-ready cups with sweet notes ๐Ÿ’ Moth...

My First Month on Etsy: What I’ve Learned So Far

Wow. One month into selling on Etsy, and let me tell you—it’s been a wild ride. I went into this thinking, "I’ll just list my products, and boom—sales!" Yeah… not quite. Turns out, Etsy is its own little world, and I’m still figuring it all out. So, if you’re thinking about starting an Etsy shop or are just curious about what this first month has been like, here are the biggest things I’ve learned so far. 1. Etsy is Not a “List It and They Will Come” Situation I naively thought if I put my tumblers up for sale, Etsy would just magically show them to the right people. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Nope. Etsy is a search engine , meaning you have to help people find you by using the right keywords, updating listings, and staying active. It’s work. ๐Ÿ’ก Lesson: I’ve been tweaking my listings, learning about SEO , and figuring out how to get my products in front of the right customers. (If you’re curious about Etsy SEO, check out this post where I break it down! ) 2. Your Dashboard is Your Bes...
