☕️ Sippin’ Sunday: Pride, Pause & a Little Proprietary Oops 👍🏽

This week, I hit pause.

I didn’t bring my laptop.

I didn’t design anything.

I didn’t even post that much.

And that was intentional.

Because my nephew — Dr. Jake — graduated from the University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!) with his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, and I needed to be fully present for it.

We drove up to Oklahoma, spent the weekend soaking in all the pride, and celebrated big time. Jake has spent the last few years grinding, studying, and sacrificing — and now he’s earned those hard-won letters after his name.

Not only did he graduate, but he and his wife just bought their first home. 🏡

That’s a lot of good stuff in one chapter — and being there for it was everything.

Meanwhile… back at Etsy

While I was away, one of my listings got flagged and deactivated.

Yep. One of my designs pushed a little too close to a protected property.

Was it intentional?

Absolutely not.

Did it still get pulled?

Yep.

And here’s the kicker — because I intentionally didn’t bring my laptop (so I could focus on family), I couldn’t fix it.

So here I am, riding shotgun on the way back to San Antonio… itching to log in, tweak things, and make it right.

But maybe — just maybe — this little delay was by design too.

Maybe God knew I needed to sit in the discomfort, honor the moment, and trust that it’ll all get handled in time.

What I’m Taking With Me 👍🏽

• You can’t fix everything right away, and that’s okay
• Family moments are worth the pause
• Getting flagged is a learning moment, not a failure
• Shipping can wait a day — people are usually kinder than our anxious brains tell us
• Pride in your people fills your creative cup in ways nothing else can

So now…

I’m headed home, laptop charged and to-do list growing.

Orders to ship.

Listings to fix.

Monday to kick off with a bang.

But before all that?

I’m letting this moment settle.

Proud. Grounded. Grateful.
