☕ Sippin’ Sunday: Listening, Launching, and a Whole Lotta Team Spirit

This week, something I’ve been working on quietly behind the scenes finally went live—my Texas College Football Wraps officially launched! 🏈✨ Check them out! They’re bold, fun, and full of hometown pride—just in time for tailgate season. And what’s made this even more exciting is that the launch wasn’t even in my original plan. It came from a message. One of my customers reached out asking if I had a certain school… and that was the spark. I started designing, testing, and listing—and before I knew it, I had a collection forming. The response so far has been incredible. Orders are rolling in, and I’m already adding more based on continued feedback. This week’s reminder? Listen when your customers speak. Their ideas might just unlock your next great product. So today, I’m sipping on some Sunday gratitude: for community, for college football, and for all of you who continue to cheer me on (even when it’s not your team). 😉

💪 Flex Friday: Standing Firm on Your Worth

Image
This week’s Flex Friday comes straight from a moment I had in my own business. ✨ I was given the opportunity to do a large order for a company—one of those projects that makes you stop and think, “Wow, this could be big.” I put together a detailed quote, included everything they’d need, and made sure it aligned with their budget. 💡 When they came back, though, they wanted something cheaper. And here’s where the decision point came in: I could have cut corners, lowered the price, and risked the quality of the work. But I know what my time, supplies, and attention to detail are worth. So instead, I said no—I wasn’t going to go the cheaper route. 🤝 They were kind and professional about it, but in the end, they decided to go with someone else. And you know what? I wasn’t upset. Not one bit. Because at the end of the day, I know what it takes to create something that reflects the care and quality I stand for. 🔥 That’s the flex. Standing firm in your worth is just as important as saying y...

☕ Sippin’ Sunday: Counting On It

Image
You know that little moment of panic when something doesn’t line up quite right? Yeah… that happened this week. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was working on fulfilling an order—one of several that came in on the same day (which is so exciting, by the way!)—and as I was packing up the wraps, I realized the inventory count was off. I was short by one. Now, quality is a huge part of my business. I care about what I ship out. I care about what people receive. And I care about making things right when something’s not. So I reached out to the customer immediately, explained what happened, and offered a replacement option. Thankfully, they were so understanding and we got it resolved quickly—no drama, just mutual respect and good communication. But it got me thinking: ✨ We can’t always be perfect. ✨ But we can always be proactive. Whether it’s a miscount, a missing item, or something that just didn’t turn out quite right, reaching out quickly and honestly makes all the difference. That transparency builds...

💪 Flex Friday: The Long Days, the Late Nights, and Why It’s Worth It ✨

This week has been a whirlwind 🌪️—traveling for work, flight delays, and then coming home to a stack of Etsy orders waiting for me. On top of that, I decided to try something new: custom T-shirts 👕. Between cutting vinyl, pressing designs, wrapping orders, and shipping them out, it felt like there just weren’t enough hours in the day. And honestly? That’s the reality of being a small business owner. Sometimes it’s long hours. Sometimes it’s late nights with tissue paper, shipping boxes, tape, and a stack of labels staring you down. Sometimes it’s just you—a team of one—doing it all. But here’s the thing: when you’re committed to what you’re passionate about, the hard days still mean something. 💖 The Lessons in the Busy Weeks Remember your “why”: Whether it’s creativity, freedom, or making something special for someone else—hold onto that. Commitment matters: Customers count on you, and showing up consistently builds trust and loyalty. Take care of yourself, too: ...

☕ Sippin’ Sunday: Pressing Pause (and T-Shirts)

Image
This week I stepped a little outside my usual creative lane—and honestly, it was kind of exciting. I don’t do T-shirts very often. I have a Cricut and a heat press, and I’ve used them here and there for simple designs—usually gifts for friends or family. But this week? I had the chance to take on a project for a local bank right here in town. Vinyl cutting, weeding, pressing… all the things. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. There’s something satisfying about the rhythm of it—design, cut, press, repeat. The final product wasn’t flashy or over-the-top, but it felt good to deliver something clean, crisp, and custom. What surprised me most was how this little detour energized me. It reminded me that even if I don’t do shirts all the time, I still can. The creative spark doesn’t always look like glitter or tumblers—it shows up in small presses and unexpected opportunities, too. So today I’m sipping on a sense of accomplishment—and gratitude. For new chances. For returning tools ...

Flex Friday: The Case of the Disappearing Wrap – And the Refund That Hurt 💔📦

Oh USPS… where do I even start? 🙄✉️ If you’ve been here a while, you know I take pride in getting orders out lightning fast ⚡ and packed like a little gift 🎁. I double-check addresses ✅. I add tracking 📍. I even whisper “safe travels” before a package leaves my hands. So when a customer messaged me asking about her wrap—one that should have been delivered yesterday—I immediately checked tracking. And there it was: "Arriving late." 😑 Which in USPS terms could mean: It’s sitting in a forgotten corner of a warehouse 🏚️. It took a detour to visit relatives in another state 🗺️. Or… it’s simply vanished into the abyss, never to be seen again 🕳️. The Ouch Part 😣 I watched the tracking for another day, hoping for a miracle ✨. No miracle. So I did what a lot of small business owners dread—issued a refund 💸. Not because it was my fault, but because it was the right thing to do. Here’s the truth: the customer doesn’t see USPS when things go wrong, they see m...

🎄Sippin’ Sunday: Yes, I’m Already Prepping for Christmas. And You Should Be Too.

It’s still August. The sun is blazing, school supplies are everywhere, and pumpkin spice hasn’t even hit full force. But me? I’m sipping my coffee and already thinking about tinsel, ribbon, and holiday bundles. Because when you run a small business—especially one that’s creative and seasonal— Christmas doesn’t start in December... It starts now. Over the past week, I’ve been busy behind the scenes: 🎃 Creating Halloween bundles 🎄 Designing new Christmas bundles 📦 Working with my printer to prep fresh stock 🛍️ Updating my listings and thinking ahead for mobile craft parties with a holiday twist I’m also brainstorming a Christmas wreath-making class —something fun, easy, and affordable. I've seen beautiful ones out there, but $75–$80 for a class just isn't doable for everyone. I want to create an experience that’s accessible, festive, and gives people the joy of crafting without the stress of overspending. So here’s my message to you: If you're a maker, a small...

💪🏽Flex Friday: Consider It Handled

I’m a huge fan of binge-watching. Give me a good psychological twist, a flawed main character, and some next-level drama, and I’m in. Two of my all-time favorites? How to Get Away with Murder and Scandal. Lately, I’ve been deep in Scandal , and Olivia Pope has me in full Gladiator mode. She doesn’t wait for permission. She makes a plan, trusts her gut, and gets. things. done. And that energy? That “it’s handled” energy? It hit me hard this week. Here’s the real-life twist: I’ve been searching for high-quality, Texas college football tumbler wraps—something bold, fan-worthy, and tailgate-ready. But what I found? Didn’t match the vision. So, I did what Olivia would do...I fixed it myself. 🔥 This football season, I’m excited to introduce a brand-new collection of Texas college football tumbler wraps, featuring: 🏈 University of Texas (Hook ’em) 🏈 UTSA (Go Runners!) 🏈 Texas Tech 🏈 Baylor 🏈 SMU These designs are made to hype your game day, wrap your fandom in style, and represent you...

☕️ From Side Hustle to Spark Plug: What a Little Momentum Can Do

There’s something about a tiny win that hits differently. Maybe it’s a sweet customer review, a message asking about a restock, or even just the rhythm of a productive day in the craft room. This week, I’ve been reflecting on how momentum doesn’t always come from massive milestones. Sometimes, it’s the little nudges that remind you you’re onto something special. For me, this past week included prepping new wrap bundles, fielding a bulk order request, and chatting with other small business owners who just get it. It’s all reminded me that progress isn’t linear—it’s layered, scrappy, and beautiful in its own chaotic way. If you’re in the middle of your own creative season, let this be your sign to keep at it. The work you’re doing matters—even when no one’s clapping (yet). ☕️ Cheers to small steps, steady hands, and staying close to your “why.” Until next time, Jecca

💪🏼Flex Friday: Full Hands, Full Heart 📦💖

This week reminded me why I started. (Also reminded me that sleep is optional when you're building an empire... but let’s not unpack that. 😅) I got a DM on Etsy from a repeat customer —yes, a REPEAT! 🙌 That alone had me doing a little happy dance in my kitchen (you know the one, messy bun flopping, coffee in hand, my sisters judging me). But then—plot twist—she asked for a bulk order . Like… MULTIPLE ITEMS. Plural. 😭 She said she loved the quality, the way I package everything, and the customer service. Y’all. That hit me straight in the glitter-covered heart. 💘 Because when someone comes back and wants more of what you’re creating? That’s not just a sale—it’s a sign. A “you’re doing something right, girl” kind of sign. And THEN (because apparently the universe was feeling generous), I got to teach a craft class last weekend 🎨✂️. It was so fun to be in my element—teaching, creating, and saying things like “No, you didn’t ruin it, it’s called texture.” 😂 I even made a fe...
