☕️ Sippin’ Sunday: Making Space

This past week was slower in all the right ways — and honestly, I needed it. I moved my storage to a cheaper spot (hello, budget win πŸ’°) but more than that, it gave me a chance to reorganize everything for my business. Now I’ve got more room in my home office — more space to actually create without digging through bins and boxes. I also got to visit with my nephew/godson who came in from South Carolina πŸ’›, and I even worked an event where I had the chance to talk about my shop and my mobile craft parties — which filled my cup more than I expected. It reminded me that sometimes we don’t need to do more — we just need to clear space for what matters: 🧹 Space to create πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§‍πŸ‘¦ Space for people we love πŸ“¦ Space to breathe and reset So today, I’m sipping my coffee and feeling thankful for the quiet, the clutter clearing, and the clarity that came with it. Here’s to making space — in every sense. πŸ’›☕️ Until next time…. Jecca

πŸ” Flex Friday: 3 Things That Helped My Etsy Listings Get Found

Let’s talk about something that every shop owner stresses over at some point: “How do I get my listings SEEN on Etsy?” When I first launched Rise Up Designs, I spent hours creating products — tumblers, wraps, keychains — and then stared at my stats wondering why no one was finding them. 😩 Sound familiar? Now, I’m not saying I cracked the Etsy algorithm (I wish! πŸ˜‚), but I have figured out a few key moves that made a difference in getting found — and getting sales. So for today’s Flex Friday, I’m sharing 3 real things that helped my listings show up more consistently. 1️⃣ Get serious about your titles Your title isn’t just a description — it’s a search tool. I used to write cutesy or vague titles, but now I start by thinking: πŸ’‘ What would my ideal customer type into the search bar? Example: Instead of “Sparkle Teacher Cup” I go with:  Teacher Tumbler with Straw – Back to School Gift – Glitter Glass Can – Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea It may sound less poetic, b...

☕️Sippin’ Sunday: Give It Time ☕️

This week, while having my morning coffee and loading new listings, I caught myself thinking… “Am I posting this back-to-school item too early? It’s June!” πŸŽ’✏️ But here’s the thing — as shop owners, we HAVE to think ahead. Customers need time to: ✅ Find us ✅ Save our items to their favorites ✅ Come back when they’re ready to buy I just listed my Teacher Survival Kit (fun canvas bag with a keychain, jumbo paper clip, sanitizer, tissues, pens/pencils, gum + mints). 🎁 It’s the perfect little gift for teachers, but if I waited until August? I’d be late! Same goes for my upcoming Wicked Wraps launching later this summer — gotta give products (and my tags!) time to work their magic and reach the right people. ✨ Lesson of the week: πŸ“… Plan ahead. πŸ“’ Post early. ⏳ Give your customers — and your products — time to do their thing. Happy Sippin’ Sunday, friends! ☕️πŸ’› Until next time… Jecca

πŸ“¦ Flex Friday: 5 Real-Life Ways to SAVE on Shipping (and Keep More πŸ’΅ in Your Pocket!)

OK, let’s be real... shipping is one of those “ugh” parts of running a creative shop. It’s not the fun glittery part ✨ — but if you don’t keep an eye on those costs, they will EAT your profits alive! 🐍 Since I run both an Etsy shop and my mobile craft business, I’ve tested all kinds of ways to ship smarter, not harder. So today’s Flex Friday is all about sharing what’s actually worked for me — in real life, with real orders. Here are my top 5 ways to save on shipping (aka: more $$ for Starbucks runs + new supplies πŸ™Œ): 1️⃣ Rethink your packaging 🎁 Size + weight = shipping cost. Even shaving 1 ounce or going down one box size can save you money: Use poly or bubble mailers when it’s safe to do so Cut down your box size (no need to ship air!) Keep packaging light — but still pretty for your brand ✨ 2️⃣ Score supplies on auction apps πŸ€‘ One of my favorite hacks: I use local auction sites! 🎯 Here in San Antonio, I use an app called MacBid and bid on returned/overstock shipping s...

☕️ Sippin’ Sunday – How I Keep the Momentum Going πŸ’»πŸ“¦✨

Let’s talk about momentum — that magical mix of consistency, hustle, and a little caffeine. πŸ˜… I’m 4 months into running my Etsy shop, and recently someone asked me, “How are you keeping things going?” Honestly, it’s not one big secret… it’s a bunch of little habits that keep the wheels turning. Here’s what’s been working for me: Social Media Consistency I show up. Not perfectly. Not every day. But enough to stay top of mind with my audience. Whether it’s showcasing new wraps, behind-the-scenes packing days, or DIY inspiration — I keep it real and keep it moving. SEO Tags Matter (a lot) Y’all, don’t sleep on your product tags. I regularly check and tweak mine to make sure I’m being found. Etsy is a search engine — help it help you. Using AI (hey, bud πŸ‘‹πŸ½) I lean on tools like AI (hi again) to help with writing, brainstorm ideas, and streamline my content. It’s like having a little business partner that never sleeps. Better Photos Every Week I’m always updating my pics — new ba...

🌸 Flex Friday: I’m Spring Cleaning, Baby! 🌸

Okay, fam… let’s talk sales. BIG sales. As much as I love every single glass I’ve created (and yes, I talk to them like they’re my children πŸ˜…), it’s time to make space for some fresh new vibes. That’s right—all premade glasses are 25% off starting June 13! πŸŽ‰ Why? Because I’m doing a little creative spring cleaning. And let me tell you, it feels GOOD. It’s like giving my shelves a fresh haircut. ✂️✨ I’ve noticed that y’all love the wraps, the DIY kits, and the chance to make something your own. And I love that for you—and for me. So while I’ll still be out there creating and crafting with my whole heart, I’m making room for what’s really connecting. πŸ’‘ Each premade glass comes with: A daisy corkboard coaster 🌼 My same-day shipping hustle (seriously—I’m on it!) A little sparkle of gratitude with every order ✨ If you’ve been eyeing a glass for a while, now’s the time. Snag it before it’s gone, and sip pretty all summer long. ☀️πŸ’• Until next time, Jecca | Rise Up Designs πŸ’–

🎯 Tuesday Truth: When Tariffs Hit the Little Guys (Like Me!)

Let’s talk about it—tariffs. 😩 I’m not here to get political, but I am here to be real: these new tariff hikes on imported goods? Yeah, they’re starting to squeeze small businesses like mine. Whether it's glass cans, bamboo lids, UV DTF wraps, or the little things like straws and packaging—it adds up . Fast. I recently had to do what I’ve been putting off: adjust my prices. Just a little, but it was tough. I know how hard people work for their money, and I don’t take any sale lightly. So if you're one of my customers, just know—this decision came with a lot of thought (and a few sighs). πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Why the increase? Because the cost of almost everything has gone up for makers like me. And when you’re a one-woman show hand-making, packing, creating content, and running two businesses, you feel it in your bones (and your budget). πŸ‘‰πŸΌ What doesn’t change? The heart, the care, the sparkle ✨ that goes into every order. I still include: Clear instructions with each wrap A l...

☕ Sippin’ Sunday: When Doubt Creeps In πŸ’πŸ’›

You ever look around at all the progress you’ve made — and still feel like you're trying to keep up with your own dreams? Yeah. Me too. This week, I hit some huge milestones: ✨ My biggest sales month yet ✨ Over 350 followers on Instagram ✨ Month 2 as a Star Seller on Etsy ✨ Launched my mobile craft party website πŸŽ‰ And while I am proud (like, squeal-out-loud proud), I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t also… a little overwhelmed. Because sometimes, right behind the “Wow, I’m doing it!” feeling is a sneaky little voice that says: “Can you really keep this up?” “Is this too much?” “What if the next thing flops?” Here’s the thing I’m learning: Doubt doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It just means you’re doing something that matters. πŸ’› I think it’s okay — healthy even — to pause and admit, “Hey, this is a lot.” Because chasing your dreams while working a full-time job, nurturing your creativity, showing up for your family, and managing all the things? That’s not easy....

Flex Friday: The Glow Up Gets Messy (and That’s OK) πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ’›

This month has been one for the books — and by “books,” I mean the messy, half-filled planner I keep swearing I’ll update. πŸ˜‚ But for real, check this out: 🌟 Biggest sales month to date! (cue the confetti… and maybe a mild panic attack) 🌟 350+ Instagram followers — hi, friends! You’re the real ones. 🌟 Month 2 as a Star Seller on Etsy — still pinching myself πŸ… 🌟 Launched my Wrap & Rise Mobile Craft Party website — because apparently sleep is optional when you’re chasing dreams πŸ˜… And while I could post the polished version with soft lighting and filter-perfect photos… let’s be real for a second. ✨ I’ve knocked over a tray of glasses thanks to a rogue gust of wind. ✨ I’ve confused two orders and had to channel my inner Sherlock to fix it. ✨ One of my glass straws shattered mid-wrap — RIP, lil’ buddy. ✨ And yes, I’ve stared at the screen wondering if I can juggle it all without turning into a walking UVDTF sticker. But here’s what I’ve learned: You can be wi...

πŸ“¦ Missed the Blog, But Not the Message: Let’s Talk About Selling in Multiple Spaces πŸ’¬πŸ“±

Okay, so real talk — I missed my usual Tuesday blog post. 😬 Life got lifey, and between packaging orders, updating listings, and pretending not to be distracted by TikTok, I blinked and it was already Wednesday. But hey — just because I missed a day doesn’t mean I missed the message. This week, I’ve been reflecting on something important: how and where I’m showing up as a small business owner. Right now, I’ve got a few platforms in the mix: πŸ› Etsy — where my wraps, UVDTF stickers, and print-on-demand products live. 🌐 My Website — home to my mobile craft party kits and premade glassware. πŸ“² Instagram & TikTok — where I’ve started posting product reels, behind-the-scenes moments, and getting more direct feedback. So why does this matter? Because the more I experiment, the more I realize: not every customer shops the same way. Some people are Etsy loyalists. Others want the flexibility of buying from a link in bio or just tapping “shop now” after watching a...

☕ Sippin’ Sunday: πŸŽ“ Celebrating Milestones, Music & Family Pride πŸ’›

This week’s cup of cafecito comes with a side of graduation glitter, family feels, and a  little  rock ‘n roll. ☕πŸ’ƒπŸ½✨ Let’s start with  Gracie , my little star who just graduated  5th grade ! πŸ’πŸŽ‰ This was no ordinary graduation—she’s part of the very first class to go from Kinder all the way through 5th. From district honor choir to silver medals in roller skating, this girl is already collecting wins like it’s her job. Middle school better  bring it , because Gracie’s coming in hot. πŸ”₯ Then there’s  my nephews, Ricardo and Ralphie , who both graduated in  Laredo, TX  and reminded me that our family doesn’t just show up—we  shine . ✨ πŸŽ“  Ricardo  graduated from  Alexander High School , earning  Magna Cum Laude Honors πŸ‘πŸ½. I didn’t make the ceremony but I  did  attend the celebration—and let me tell you, that party brought so much joy. What made it extra special? His band with his brother  Benny  did ...
